ELISABETH SOMMERVILLE, SCA, SFCA, AFC

Elisabeth Sommerville graduated from the Alberta College of Art in 1963. She later studied printmaking in Vancouver and preferred stone lithography for many years as the medium that best complemented her drawing skills. She now mainly draws with coloured pencils in her home studio. Elisabeth's Métis heritage likely engendered her love of nature, ­visible in her artwork which is in collections in Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and U.S.A.
